DYEING
Dyes are an excellent solution for those seeking a material colouring option that is both effective and aesthetically pleasing, without the disadvantages that often accompany traditional coatings. Unlike painting, which adds a layer of material to the surface of the treated object, dyeing penetrates into the material itself. This process of colour absorption ensures that the dimensional tolerances of the object remain unchanged, thus avoiding the risk of mechanical alterations due to the addition of material. In addition, dyeing ensures a more homogenous finish, resulting in a superior and uniform visual appearance across the treated surface.
Top Black™ UV Resistant finish line represents the best aesthetic and technical solution for items manufactured by Additive Manufacturing. It also offers longer-lasting protection against UV rays, preventing the color from fading over time.
Available for: Nylon PA12, Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12 GB
SEMI-MATTE PAINTING
All semi-matt varnishes can be applied to HP MJF parts and are created by spraying an industrial two-component product in two or more coats. The paint coverage is partially uniform and increases in thickness by about 100 microns. However, the porosity of the material can be visible, especially on the non-aesthetic side, being a characteristic feature of the printing technology itself.
Parts with Soft Touch Black finish are coated with a combination of products so that the surface is soft to the touch and matte. To achieve this effect, this varnish adds a uniform material thickness of about 100 microns to your file.
Available for: Nylon PA12, Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12 GB
Semi-matte white only available for Nylon PA12 White
SEMI-GLOSS PAINTING
Semi-gloss varnishes can be applied to parts produced in HP MJF and are created by spraying an industrial two-component product in two or more coats. The coverage is partially uniform and increases in thickness by about 100 microns. However, the porosity of the material can be visible, especially on the non-aesthetic side, being a characteristic feature of the printing technology itself.
Available for: Nylon PA12, Nylon PA11, Nylon PA12 GB
Semi-gloss white only available for Nylon PA12 White
METALLIC PAINTING
Metallic varnishes can be applied to HP MJF components and are created by spraying an industrial two-component product in two or more coats. The coating is partially uniform and increases in thickness by about 100 microns. However, the porosity of the material can be visible, especially on the non-aesthetic side, as it is a characteristic feature of the printing technology.
ANNEALING
PEEK manufactured parts have a crystalline structure in an amorphous state once removed from the printer's construction surface. They can undergo an annealing heat treatment in a thermostatic oven in which, through a controlled cycle, the material is given time to crystallize and create an organized semi-crystalline structure. This treatment markedly improves the mechanical and heat-resistant properties of the material.
