PEEK

PEEK is a polymer used in the industrial and aerospace field thanks to its exceptional mechanical properties, very similar to those of some metal alloys: in its filament-worked version, it allows to obtain complex geometries, freeing the Designer of most of the design constraints and limitations of traditional manufacturing technologies.

  • Exceptional mechanical performance, supports very important workloads even for long periods of use

  • Excellent resistance to high temperatures and chemical agents as well as being a flame retardant

  • Best option for Metal Replacement practices with challenging performance

PEEK is a polymer that can be both amorphous and semi-crystalline. The latter is characterized by greater mechanical resistance to the detriment of ductility. Both variants are characterized by excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance that also remains subject to high temperatures. The peek can withstand very heavy workloads even for very long service times.

Learn more about technology
Fused deposition modelling or FDM creates the components layer by layer by depositing discrete material via a 0.40 mm diameter nozzle. The print head moves in XY and deposits a single layer. Subsequently the printing plane, the Z axis, moves downwards to allow the deposition of the next layer. The ...
